Dr. Joey Glenn
OWNER, SPORTS CHIROPRACTOR, Performance specialist
Joey is a Sports Chiropractor and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. After obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences from the University of Iowa, Joey had an opportunity to work with Core Performance/Athlete's Performance™ in Los Angeles, California helping everyday people and professional athletes reach their highest athletic potential.
Joey continued his education at Palmer College of Chiropractic West and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification. Joey worked for the Martinez Veterans Administration Hospital, treating our nation's heroes and completed his preceptorship treating professional athletes and weekend warriors alike at Water and Sport Physical Therapy in San Diego. After developing a passion for Olympic weightlifting, Joey obtained his USA Weightlifting Sport Performance Coach certification.
Dr. Joey has a keen eye for proper biomechanics. He is well-trained in deciphering between motor control limitations, mobility limitations, and other performance leaks.
Joey is ecstatic to return to the Midwest and share his knowledge of health, movement and athletic development in his home state.

Dr. Matt Zirretta
PHYSICAL THERAPIST, PERFORMANCE SPECIALIST
Matt is a physical therapist and a performance specialist at EP. He played Division I men's soccer at the University of Kentucky and Northern Illinois University prior to completing his Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Physiology at the University of Iowa. Following his undergraduate coursework Matt continued his education at the University of Iowa within the Carver College of Medicine where he graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
He enjoys working with patients of all ages and levels. His specialties include treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and post surgical interventions. Matt's goal is to collaborate with you to help you return to your prior level of function, improve your quality of life, and/or maximize your performance in both sport and life. He utilizes the FMS/SFMA and Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) techniques to assess and correct movement deficiencies, postural asymmetries, and muscle imbalances.
Matt is active in the Ankeny community as his wife and Father-In-Law are both teachers and coaches. He continues to dedicate his time to the sport of soccer as the Performance Coach for the Iowa Rush Soccer Club. While not in the clinic he enjoys trying new restaurants with his wife, playing soccer with his black lab, exercising, and following Iowa Hawkeye athletics.

Dr. Emily Hilderbrand
Emily is a physical therapist at EP. She did Division I women's gymnastics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she was a first team Academic All-American in 2014 as well as Big Ten Gymnast of the year. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Science upon her graduation in 2015. Following UNL, she continued her education at Des Moines University, where she received her doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018.
As a former athlete having to go through physical therapy, Emily's goal as a physical therapist is to collaborate with her patients to help them return to their prior level of function. She believes physical therapy is about treating the person as a whole rather than just the injury or diagnosis. She wants to work with her patients to see them reach their goals and full potential.
Owner, Administrative director, Clinical soft tissue therapist
Hannah is office manager/administrative director and soft tissue therapist at Engineered Per4mance. Originally from the Des Moines area, Hannah graduated high school from Dowling Catholic. She continued her schooling in Iowa City at the University of Iowa graduating in 2011 with a bachelors degree in business studies. She then moved to California with husband, Joey, to pursue the highest of massage therapy education at one of the highest ranked schools, National Holistic Institute (NHI) in San Jose. During her time there, she completed an internship with the San Jose SaberCats arena football team, providing myofascial therapy to injured athletes. Through this, she gained interest in massage therapy for enhancing athletic performance and healing. Currently at EP, she helps the clinicians with soft tissue manipulation and does not do actual massage therapy appointments. (see below for our independent massage therapists bio and info).
Hannah is a life-long athlete, which inspired her to pursue a career in the health profession. She enjoyed playing soccer for 16 years of her life on various competitive teams, as well as being involved in track, basketball, and softball while growing up. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her children. She looks forward to sharing her experiences and expertise to help people achieve their optimal potential.

Billy became interested in strength and conditioning during his middle school years. In the beginning, he was very intrigued by body building. As he entered high school, barbell and kettlebells became a big part of his training. These tools were valuable in developing his strength and he loved how they influenced his performance in soccer, baseball, and track.
While in college, he interned at Crossfit Energy in Ohio eventually moving up into a full time position. He gained a lot of experience with seeing people move and helping them move better He also achieved one of his goals in becoming a StrongFirst Girya Level 1 instructor in September 2014. Billy attended The University of Akron in Ohio, graduating with a degree in Exercise Science: Strength and Conditioning in December 2014.
Billy continues his pursuit for finding mastery in movements with kettlebells being his tool of choice. He loves seeing people learning to move better, finding strength within themselves, and is excited to work with the Engineered Per4mance community.

Brandon is a performance specialist at EP, teaching Alpha Athlete, EP4Teens and adult fitness classes. Originally from California, Brandon grew up in Texas. He was an MLB Draft prospect for the Texas Rangers in 2011 and played D1 baseball at Texas A&M University Corpus Christy, graduating with a bachelors degree in business administration in 2016.
After college, him and his wife, Hannah, moved to Des Moines and Brandon decided to pursue a career in personal training and athletic development. Being a former collegiate athlete that battled injury, he is very passionate about teaching proper body mechanics along with professional training techniques. Outside of work, Brandon is always learning and keeping up with current research to better his training knowledge. He is very excited to pass all that he has learned in his education and personal D1 experiences to the next generation of athletes.
CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER
Riley is our front desk receptionist in the evenings at EP. She is senior at Ankeny Centennial High School and will be attending Florida Gulf Coast University next fall in Fort Meyers, Florida. She will be majoring in Biology and minoring in Spanish. Riley has played volleyball since she was 10 years old, and recently won her 3rd State Championship in 4 years with the Ankeny Centennial Jaguars. In her free time, she enjoys watching/playing volleyball, working out, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Although she is an Iowa State fan, we enjoy having her part of our team!
Dr. Carmen Tebbe-Priebe
Independent Sport and counseling psychologist
Starting in 2006, I served the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department for nine years in multiple roles, including Director for Psychological Resources for OU Student-Athletes (PROS) for five years. In this role, I provided counseling, performance enhancement, psycho-educational assessment, leadership, and team-building services for OU student-athletes. In addition, I provided oversight to six staff members.
While we loved our time in Oklahoma, my husband and I wanted to raise our children closer to family, leading to a move to our current home in Ankeny, Iowa in August 2015. I worked for the Iowa State University Student Counseling Services for 9 months and in 2016, started my current role as a part-time sport psychologist for the University of Iowa Athletics Department.
I have been active in numerous national efforts at promoting our field; presenting at national conferences, participating in the NCAA Task Force to Advance Mental Health Best Practices Strategies, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the AASP Job Task Analysis. I have extensive experience teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses on student-athlete development and mental health, performance enhancement, leadership, and college student-athlete adjustment/preparation.
My volleyball career at USC Upstate (formerly University of South Carolina – Spartanburg) sparked my interest in the integration of psychology and sport and following graduation there, I pursued and received a master’s degree in Experimental Psychology from Wake Forest University and a Counseling Psychology Ph.D. (with an emphasis on sport psychology) from the University of North Texas. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department and University Counseling Center and my post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department.
I am passionate about assisting elite performers maximize their potential in all areas of life. The skills that make you an elite athlete help or hinder your growth and my goal is to collaborate with you as you gain insight into your own personal and performance development. I am currently a Licensed Psychologist in Iowa, a Certified Mental Performance Consultant through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), and am listed on the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Sport Psychology Registry.
