Dr. Matt Zirretta

Matt is a physical therapist and a performance specialist at EP. He played Division I men's soccer at the University of Kentucky and Northern Illinois University prior to completing his Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Physiology at the University of Iowa. Following his undergraduate coursework Matt continued his education at the University of Iowa within the Carver College of Medicine where he graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.

He enjoys working with patients of all ages and levels. His specialties include treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and post surgical interventions. Matt's goal is to collaborate with you to help you return to your prior level of function, improve your quality of life, and/or maximize your performance in both sport and life. He utilizes the FMS/SFMA and Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) techniques to assess and correct movement deficiencies, postural asymmetries, and muscle imbalances.

Matt is active in the Ankeny community as his wife and Father-In-Law are both teachers and coaches. He continues to dedicate his time to the sport of soccer as the Performance Coach for the Iowa Rush Soccer Club. While not in the clinic he enjoys trying new restaurants with his wife, playing soccer with his black lab, exercising, and following Iowa Hawkeye athletics.
